“In rooting out the perforations and opportunities between materials of mass-production and handicraft, I have selected industrial fibers, and subjected them to laborious and productive manual processes. I have employed repetitious, methodical systems of fabrication on these durable and machine-produced cables. Textiles emerged from these processes of folding and entwining, folding and entwining, folding and entwining. The resulting handmade textiles are indicative of their industrial roots, though suggest domestic rituals. And while they were laborious to produce, they are nonetheless vulnerable materials, subject to wear, or further alteration.” - Lily Homer
