Weak Stomach

Weak Stomach is a graphic novel, which I wrote and published in 2020. Illustrations are by Jess Bass. It’s about anxiety, absurdity, and bad fish.

After eating spoiled tuna fish, the protagonist spirals into a swirl of “what ifs.” This book pokes fun at my own tendency to imagine the worst case scenario, and I hope my readers can see some of themselves in the protagonist and have a laugh at our own collective expense.

Proust Series Redesign

Concept, graphic design, layout

In this unsolicited redesign project, I transformed Marcel Proust’s renowned book series In Search of Lost Time, originally published in 1913. Using Paul Cézanne’s paintings for the bases of the dust jacket and box cover, this redesign speaks to the meandering, dreamy style of Proust’s writing, which emphasizes descriptions of the senses to connect to the reader.
